She continued on at the UNM School of Medicine to obtain her M.D. in 2008, she was then a member of the OB/Gyn residency program at Naval Medical Center San Diego from 2008-2012 before withdrawing for medical reasons. Dr. Gober is an expert in skin health and the healing process, having practiced chronic wound medicine since 2017 when she transitioned to civilian practice.
